Things to do during your stay

There are lots of activities to do whilst you are enjoying your stay in Knoydart. A few activities include Deer Stalking, Fishing, Walking and Powerboating.

Deer Stalking on Knoydart

Full deer-stalking packages are available, which include breakfast, packed lunch and evening-meal. Your days will be spent on some of the remotest and most beautiful hillsides in the west of Scotland , in the company of professional stalkers and ghillies. A lockable gun-cupboard is provided. Fishing on Knoydart

Brown Trout can be found in the hill-lochs which dot the landscape, and day-permits can be purchased for Inverie River and Loch Bhraomisaig. Telephone or e-mail Cara for further details.

Walking on Knoydart

Knoydart has some of the best hillwalking and mountaineering available in Britain . The peninsula is host to three Munros (hills over 3000ft), and has many secret corners to explore. For more information, contact the Knoydart Ranger.

Wildlife Watching on Knoydart

The remoteness of the Knoydart Peninsula lends itself to an impressive range of sea and land wildlife. Contact the Knoydart Ranger for information on bird and mammal wildlife, or contact WA Marine and Environment to arrange marine wildlife tours.

Powerboat Package

You can book a four-day package run in conjunction with Knoydart Sea School . This unique experience will give you the opportunity to gain a Level 2 Powerboat Certificate from the RYA, then take a day trip, where you take the 8m, 225hp RIB (Rigid Inflatable Boat) to the stunning islands of Rum or Eigg. The package includes all meals, your RYA certification, and, of course, accommodation in the comfortable surroundings of The Gathering.
