The Gathering Knoydart provides a unique type of bed and breakfast accommodation to the remote Knoydart Peninsula on the beautiful west coast of Scotland.  Our aim is to put an emphasis on giving you all the friendliness, luxury and comforts of home when you are indoors, leaving you free to focus on enjoying the remote wild beauty of this unique area of the Scottish Highlands when you are outdoors.   

What makes our accommodation on Knoydart extra special is that the whole place is for GUESTS ALONE  - you won’t get that feeling of being in someone else’s home.  The Gathering is also ideal for group bookings, comfortably accommodating up to 14 guests. Our guest house here in Koydart also provides the ideal venue for a remote Scottish wedding.

Knoydart provides excellent opportunities for walking, climbing, and sailing. Should you be unlucky enough to get wet we have a very efficient drying room with dehumidifier, and a laundry service is also available.

As our electricity supply in Knoydart is a little unreliable we have installed our own generator allowing us continuous power should a failure occur.

The Gathering is located a two minute walk from the pier and the famous Old Forge Pub in Inverie, with a stunning panoramic view of Loch Nevis and a backdrop of three Munros. The Gathering was newly built in 2004. All of the bedrooms are modern and furnished to the highest of standards, with under floor heating and private spacious en-suites.

We have a guest-relax area with stunning views over Loch Nevis, and an outdoor terrace with seating, allowing you to relax and enjoy our amazing view over the loch. I am in the process at the moment of hunting down a Midge Eater allowing you to enjoy the outdoors free of the dreaded midge, however as the Gathering is situated on an elevated position just above the sea our regular sea breeze keeps them mostly at bay  www.midgeforecast.co.uk

The Gathering has an open wireless internet connection and for those who don't have a laptop - we have just installed a new I MAC for guest use  - Internet use is Complementary.

 

Breakfast is served in the dining room with INDIVIDUAL TABLES and a wood burning fire. The walls feature some fine art work by local artist Isabel Prickett

Mountain Bike Hire - exclusive to Gathering Guests &  Sea Fishing Rod Hire (Great Mackerel Fishing from the pier).
